JENN DIPASQUALE LEAD DESIGNER

Jenn is a firm believer in the idea that our homes influence us in a deep and meaningful way. Now that we’re spending more time at home, and asking more of our spaces, the design of our homes have become even more important to our wellbeing. Jenn also believes that beautiful, functional spaces don’t have to break the bank, often incorporating vintage treasures or the owner's own unique items to save money and make a room feel timeless. Whether creating a design savvy corner for a client’s zoom calls or managing a complete remodel, Jenn takes great joy in sharing her years of expertise and experience with her clients.

Jenn grew up in a small ski town in western New York, raised by a thrift shop-loving mother and a father with a flair for the creative. After college at University of Colorado at Boulder, she went on to start a bakery specializing in wedding cakes. Once her cake baking days were over, Jenn turned to technology sales, which brought her to the Bay Area. After daughter Gigi was born, Jenn decided to join her family of creatives (her sister is also an interior designer) and pursue her passion for design.

When Jenn isn’t designing the perfect kitchen, she enjoys skiing, food and wine, mountain biking, hiking, and running around after her 9-year-old.

ALISON HOTCHKISS DESIGNER

Alison is one of the top event designers in the world and has produced over 400 events over the last 20 years. For Alison, design has always been about creating an unforgettable experience that reflects each client’s unique vision. In event design, we create a feeling throughout each project we produce by hand-selecting everything from linens and china to furniture and custom tent draping. When customizing a client’s travel itinerary, it’s not just attention to the activities or locations, but to the perfect accommodations that reflect their tastes and preferences.

At Barlow Design, Alison applies that design philosophy and detailed production expertise to interior design, where she consults on materials selection, room layout, and sourcing the perfect soft goods. She loves helping clients create a home that reflects their unique personality. Vendors and contractors love working with her because she is innovative, personable and hyper organized.

When she’s not designing events and homes, Alison stays inspired by seeking out adventure – exploring new travel destinations, and digging deeper into old favorites.

JANINE AURICHIO
PROJECT MANAGER

Janine has dedicated her life to bringing more beauty into the world, and from a young age has had a special connection with nature and design. She is also a process warrior with decades of project management experience from custom interiors and luxury goods marketing who embodies the mantra that a project is as good as its process. At Barlow Design, she brings her eye for beauty, color and detail to all she does, ensuring that projects stay on track and that team members have all the information they need, when they need it.

Janine spent her formative years in rural Connecticut, exploring streams, swamps and forests for nature's secrets and mysteries. This curiosity infuses her work, always asking the right questions and getting to the heart of the matter on any issue. After honing her street smarts in New York City, with an MBA from Columbia and tenure at Revlon, Godiva and Victoria's Secret Beauty, Janine moved to the Bay Area to pursue her dream of a career in design and construction.

When she's not creating spreadsheets and construction documents, Janine can be found on the trails of Marin with her beloved rescue dog or looking for the next gem at thrift stores.
